October 3, 2013 Congratulations to our new Kapap Level 1Training Instructors!

Brett Mackenzie the lead instructor of Kapap Great Yarmouth hosted the recent Kapap Level 1 instructor program at Bwell Gym 8 Bessemer Way Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR31 0LX 01493 603430.  Congratulations to our new Kapap Level 1 Training Instructors! Instructor candidates from around the UK completed the instructional preparation training through Kapap UK. The prospective Kapap level 1 training instructors were evaluated on their physical ability, their instructional ability, and their conceptual grasp of Kapap and its key principles.  They were trained and tested by Kapap UK head instructor Sam Markey and helped by Kapap Great Yarmouth  lead instructor Brett Mackenzie with additional help from Paul Brennan lead instructor of Kapap Telford and retuning instructor Tom McRae.

There was a mix of different martial arts styles that attended the Kapap level 1 training instructor course at Kapap Great Yarmouth. The course covered the main principles of Kapap and the application of techniques within the principles of Kapap. The training was challenging, but fun and drawing on competitive natures and experience. The Kapap instructor training gave a valuable insight, offering a range of new and exciting drills to take away and develop along with new techniques. As always the candidates were encouraged to ask as many questions about the techniques and principles of Kapap. All in all the feedback on the course was excellent, all of the candidates said they had enjoyed the challenge and were looking forward to attending the instructor updates held on the 1st Saturday of each month to help build on what they had learnt  on the course. Well done All.

I just completed the level 1 kapap course, I’ve been doing different types of martial arts and self defence for many years, and I was very impressed with the course.

Sam took the 5 day course, his knowledge and style of teaching made everyone comfortable which made the learners learn the kapap techniques more easily.

The system covers a wide variety of techniques both empty hand aswell as weapons, single attacks to multiple attacks, the kapap leaves no stone unturned. I would recommend it to anyone.

The KAPAP ethos of family, no bull and big ego’s is positively refreshing to say the least. Sam has an amazing amount of knowledge and I have nothing but admiration for his teaching style.

Since starting my own small KAPAP club in Great Yarmouth support from Sam and other members of the KAPAP UK community has been absolutely brilliant and I can’t thank them enough for this.
